  1. Feeding acceptance of juvenile E. timida in the laboratory culture system was tested. Two series with juveniles from two different clutches (40 individuals from the first clutch and 60 individuals from the second clutch) were performed and observed during 3 weeks. Feeding was determined by the green coloration through uptake of algal sap into the transparent juveniles.
